WHAT A DAY.

I don’t think anything will ever compare to the beauty and joy and elegance of this day, celebrating the union of Devin and Blake. These two started out as strangers, quickly became friends, and that made this day even sweeter — they’re simply the best.

Some of my favorite moments of the day are the little moments: how Devin couldn’t keep his eyes off of Blake, the pitter-patter of rain during the ceremony, looking at the skyline from the rooftop of the Waymore hotel, Mandy and her talents of live painting the day, the greenery and beauty of Cheekwood, custom temporary tattoos for guests, a private ride in a Rolls Royce, printed vows as table decor at the reception, and the ridiculous amount of happy and sentimental tears shed on this day.

What. A. DAY.

It’s weddings like this that make me truly grateful for my job — being able to step into someone else’s big day and capture it is SUCH an honor. I’m the intruder, and I have to honor that well, but being able to capture how Devin and Blake love each other and see each other and how their friends and family really care about them was a dream come true.
