Family | Harlinsdale Farm — Franklin, TN

I forget how much I love to shoot at Harlinsdale. This was my first time back since college (and I’m coming back next week for another shoot!) but it’s STUNNING — cute barns everywhere, random horse statues, a beautiful skyline – just everything you ever wanted.

BUTTTT when you add in a beautiful, kind, and hilarious family, it just gets BETTER. Enter the Novaks. Oh my goodness, I love this family. They are absolutely hilarious and Mom and Dad were the best (and yes, I called them Mom and Dad during the shoot hehe). We had so much fun tearing up the area.

Fun Fact: Before we shot, we were talking for a bit and I learned that the Novaks actually lived down the road from me back in elementary school! Which means that Emma, their daughter, and I definitelyyyy played together and walked to school together for a while and that blew my mind! I mean, I knew their family since we went to high school together (throwback to when I attempted to help Emma study for her AP Macro exam rip us. Anddd our dates to Wild Ginger because it’s the BEST) but I didn’t know about this specific connection! Dang, the world is small.

Anyway, Emma is now a college senior and is still as passionate, hilarious, kind, and ambitious as ever. Seriously, keep up with her life because she’s going to go FAR. Adam took a gap year in college to travel the world (he went to Korea?!?!?!) and honestly I’m highkey jealous. Jackson is now in high school and so Mom and Dad no longer have any middle schoolers, whichhhh is crazy.

It was long overdue to grab some photos of this beautiful family. We had planned to take these photos a week before, but Nashville weather had other plans and it rained most every evening that week. BUT we rescheduled the shoot and  I love how these photos turned out! I’m so thankful I got to spend my evening with this wonderful family at such a beautiful location. Check these photos out!!
