I seriously love mini shoots. They are fun, random, and just an all-around blast. We get solid headshots of you (and your friends!), and then adventure around and do stupid random things (where you usually laugh at me and the dumb prompts I make you do) but you do them anyways because it’s FUN.
I seriously love a good mini session.
Cue this past weekend with Dianne and Amanda. This shoot on 12 south was not one to disappoint.
I met Dianne and Amanda for the first time on the July 4th weekend, and we got to celebrate the new podcast that they are starting. We walked up and down 12 South, asked Frothy Monkey if we could take photos at their table, and ended at Jeni’s for some fun, chic photos.
BUT Y’ALL. I mean all of these photos are cute and all, but even more importantly and even cooler, are just Dianne and Amanda’s personalities. These two are just honest, hilarious, kind, and SPICY (#iykyk). That’s just who they are. It was sweet and refreshing to spend time with them and take some stunning photos of them.
If you want to have a glimpse of their spicy and down-to-earth personalities, go check out their podcast. It’s called “Employed-ish’s Podcast” and you can find it on Spotify or here. I JUST listened to it, and their heart behind this podcast is to make you feel loved and seen, in the way that you should follow your heart and your dreams. They firmly believe that there is no “should and should not” way to do things. In their first episode, they talk about college and their experience of going to college and how expectations (either from family or themselves) affected their decisions and even went against what they knew in their heart — that college was just not that path meant for them.
Their podcast is light-hearted and fun, with deep truths squished in there. If you have a second, I would highly recommend listening to it! It’s fun and worth your time. In the meantime, check out the rest of this shoot! If you’re interested in your own mini session, click here.
