Engagement Session | Crockett Park, Brentwood, Tennessee

I love getting to hang out with my wedding clients during their engagement sessions, and this one with Will and Roxanne didn’t disappoint in the slightest! I had such a great afternoon with them and I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding in August. It’s going to be SPECTACULAR!

SOOOO story time — this session was actually supposed to occur at their wedding venue. Even with the snow storm that came to Nashville, we were planning on heading over to the venue for the session — however, on the morning of the session, the venue called Will and Roxanne and told them that the snow plows had plowed the snow directly in front of the entrance way to the venue — we could no longer get in (and the venue owner’s car even got stuck in the entrance ). We decided to move the session to Crockett Park, and I’m so thankful that these two were so flexible!!

My favorite part of the session? (Besides hanging out with these two amazing humans ). It was the whiskey!! Okay, here’s another story time for y’all — Roxanne and Will LOVE a glass of whiskey. It’s one of their favorite things to do together, and at their wedding, they want to keep 50 of the whiskey glasses there and save them! Why? BECAUSE on each wedding anniversary, they will open one together and reminisce on their years of marriage together for 50 years. ISN’T THAT THE CUTEST THING EVER?? Ohmygoodness.

I love when clients make the engagement session their own, and Will and Roxanne knocked that out of the park. With the whiskey, snow angels, and snowball fights, we had a marvelous time. And we even ended the shoot by just spending some time together, chatting about their upcoming wedding and checking in on how wedding planning was going (which let me tell you — they’re KILLING the wedding planning).
