Couples who live far away from Nashville, find me on Insta, and drive TO ME to have their photos taken by me are some of my favorite couples, because y’all KNOW ME. You know my brand, you know my vibe, you know my style — and you want ME to capture the special moment in your life. That seriously means so so much to me ugh, I just get sappy thinking about it. T.J. and Mikala are that kind of couple, and taking their maternity photos was such a JOY the other day over at Edwin Warner (if you haven’t been to this park, definitely go!! It’s called the Warner Nature Center on google maps and is so worth a walk through!). These two made a trip out of visiting Nashville and it was sweet to hear about their lives and how they met during the session! I’m a huge sucker for good love stories, and theirs is a GOOD one!!
These two met not too long ago, got married last year at The Estate at Cherokee Dock (one of my absolute favorite venues) and are now expecting their sweet little girl in July! These two are going to be amazing parents and this girl is already so loved — I’m so excited for everything that the future holds for T.J. and Mikala!
Anddd y’all this session was so FUN! The sun was shining, the grass was perfectly green, and these two were just SO LAIDBACK about taking photos (Mikala is a photographer herself!). When I asked if they would be down to get their feet wet in the little creek, they agreed without hesitation (my favorite EVER) and these photos of the both of them here are my favorite ever!! I love when couples are down to be a little adventurous — it shows in your photos and makes the photos feel a bit more fun and in the moment 🙂 Ugh. I love this day so much and hanging with Mikala and T.J. and talking about all the lovely restaurants in Nashville that we need to hit up was so FUN. I’m so thankful I get to serve people like them 🙂 Congratulations on your sweet baby guys!! I’m so excited for you guys to become parents and welcome this sweet baby girl into your life so so soon!
