Wedding | Hacienda Del Sol, Tucson, Arizona
There’s something about shooting weddings for couples who feel like family, and these two fit that bill oh so perfectly. I’ve known Ian for many years now. He went to the same church as my family, quickly became very close friends with my brother (and my brother was the best man in this wedding! scroll for pics of him and my entire fam!), and has spent some Thanksgivings and Christmases at my house (even bringing his sweet and hilarious mom along too!).
Andddd in walked Paige into his life. These two met over Instagram DMs that turned into long phone calls that turned into dating and now marriage. They’ve been on cross country road trips together, have dressed up many times in a variety of silly suits (um, DEFINITELY check out what Paige wore to their first look!), and they just know how to have a good time and throw a great party. They’re both dynamic and generous friends who love very intentionally, are great listeners, and just are simply the best.
Andddd Paige is a photographer and used to specialize in weddings — so let me TELL YOU that I felt VERY HONORED when this sweet joy of a human reached out and told me that she really wanted me to photograph her wedding (seriously — when someone else knows the business and hires YOU – that’s probably the biggest affirmation and compliment that I could ever receive. Like truly). And thus the wedding planning began with her and oh.my.goodness it was so MUCH FUN!
We took epic waterfall and dinosaur photos (check out their engagement photos here!) and she texted me every week about the details of her wedding and MAN — I lived for those texts. From the taco suit at their first look and the cactus ribs that they used for their altar, to the very fresh and fire invitations and her multi-colored wedding dress, to the amazing Tucson venue with all the Arizona feels — these two knocked it out of the park and created the most exceptional and classy and aesthetic wedding that I’ve ever been to. Oh, and did I mention that it was FUN!!
I can’t speak enough about these two and how wonderful they are and how much they feel like family. This day was hands down my all time favorite wedding day (ahhh sorry I do love my other couples really and truly – there’s just something about Ian and Paige and family) and I’ve never felt more in love with my job then when I got to work with these two incredible humans. So with all of that, scroll through and I hope you enjoy these photos as much I enjoyed taking them. And cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Savino and the years of marriage and adventure ahead with each other by their side!!
