Y’all. The other day I was scoping out a venue for a wedding, which was a solid thirty minutes away out in Nolensville, Tennessee. On my way over, I passed this beautiful flower field FULL of yellow flowers (literally, I have no idea what type – they are the yellow flowers that show up everywhere in Tennessee. But, if you know me, you’ll know that I’m obsessed with yellow flowers in general). I saw this field of stunning flowers on the side of the road, and KNEW that I needed to have a shoot there.
That’s where Hillary and Nicole come in. They lived in the neighborhood across the street and I made a mental note to text Hillary as soon as possible (#NoTextingWhileDriving). Once I reached out, Hillary was so down to do the shoot and so we made a date and y’all — we had a blast. Not only was the flower field absolutely stunning and fulfilling all of my field photoshoot dreams, but it was just a sweet time to catch up with some old friends (and constantly obsess over the fact that Nicole has her driver’s PERMIT and is in high school. Like what. She grew up wayyyy too fast!).
Anyway, we parked in their neighborhood (yes, in separate cars. #covid) and crossed a semi-busy street over to this flower field. We took some photos over there, and then headed back over to their neighborhood’s trail and took some photos on the sidewalk and field.
It was truly so sweet. I haven’t been able to catch up with these two in a while, and we spent a lot of time just standing around and talking about how quarantine has been. Hillary is heading out to an undetermined location because #adulting and Nicole will be a sophomore at Nolensville High School. They also sent me off with some Disney+ recommendations (specifically Wizards of Waverly Place) and I’m confused on why I had never watched it before.
These photos are some for the books. These two are born models and we had some fun with serious poses (which is not something that I usually do, considering I suck at being serious haha) but we had so much fun!! Check these photos out — you won’t want to miss them.
