Wedding | Backyard Lake Wedding, Gallatin, Tennessee

Getting Dom and Rachel married was truly one of my favorite days of the whole year.
Why?
Well, not only did we go out on the water TWICE (which if you didn’t know, is not the norm for most weddings).
But these two kept it simple.
They got married in their family backyard with the most beautiful lake view around.
They went out on the lake TWICE because that’s simply what you do when you’re out there.
They actually talked with their guests and caught up and gave big bear hugs out because their people showed UP to celebrate them.
One of Dom’s friends married them right on the edge of the lake.
They ate real and delicious food.
They had a photo of Dom’s first note to Rachel on a table so guests could remember how it all started.
They had jello shots delivered to guests out on the dance floor.
And they partied and rallied on the dance floor for HOURS.
I love celebrating couples who love like this — the ones who don’t need to show off their love, but instead invite their family and friends into their lives and celebration. And make it a night that’s unforgettable and full of memories that remind them of how rich their lives are.
And let me tell you — this doesn’t mean that they ignored the details or that their day was any less stunning. If anything, it was the exact opposite! By keeping it simple, Rachel’s gorgeous dress shined through and the details of cocktail hour and reception really stood out.
Dom and Rachel, thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful wedding! What a day it was, and I’m so excited for you guys in all of your future adventures. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Massa!
