Y’all, you need to meet Darby and Anna right now. These two are hilarious, wonderful, kind, and so down to earth and just FUN. I actually met these two for the first time when we had our 2021 snowpocalypse in Nashville a couple of months ago, and they volunteered to come down and hang out with me for a few minutes to see if I could attempt to take some epic snow photos of them — and man did we have a blast! We frolicked through the snow, had a lot of fun doing weird and cute poses, and just really had some fun together. These two were SO easy to chat with and get along with and I just felt like I immediately clicked with them.
That very day, Anna told me that she was still going to book an actual session with me soon because she just had been meaning to for a while. A few weeks later I get a message from this sweet woman — they decided that they wanted to put their wedding attire on again and recreate their wedding photos and have me cover this “bridal session” — obviously, I was OVER THE MOON EXCITED.
A bridal session is SO FUN and I think every couple needs to know what it is. A bridal session is a super fun and laid back session that allows you to rewear your wedding attire, head over to the same venue that you got married at (or a cool destination location — like the mountains or the beach) and just spend some more time with your new spouse! There are ZERO expectations which is the best part of it all. You don’t have to have a wedding timeline and adhere to it and have a wedding planner and day of coordinator. You get the freedom and joy of an engagement session (laid back, fun, down-to-earth vibe) without the wedding day stress, the potential for pouring rain and bad weather, and forgetting the bowtie or rushing through things. You get to REALLY enjoy being with each other and just embracing the joy and beauty of your wedding day, all while looking SO DANG GOOD!
Darby and Anna’s wedding day last year was such a blur — so many people and so many activities. They were so glad that they were able to have this session to take some more photos together without the stress and without feeling overwhelmed, and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it!! Check out these lovely photos of the both of them, and stay tuned as Anna and I plot out how to get photos of them every season this year two seasons down, two to go (summer and fall we coming for you)!
