Margaritas, pups, a stunning sunset, and golden hour — what could have made the session any more perfect? Oh wait that’s right – JOHN AND JOURDAN! Y’all, these two are the absolute best and we had SUCH A FUN ENGAGEMENT SESSION. Literally so obsessed with both of them!
John and Jourdan are HUGE fans of their pups. Jourdan’s first question to me when we were talking about engagement sessions was if I was okay with dogs because they NEEDED to be included in their engagement photos! Of course I said I was in love with dogs (I’m a huge dog person through and through, even though our family has never owned a dog) and I mean — you just need to see these photos for yourself. Their two dogs were so precious and just so photogenic (though Charlotte was a bit shy at times ahahaha). Percy was a great location to bring them too! When we wanted to take some photos without the pups, John and Jourdan just tied them to a nearby tree and it worked out just fine (although they whined and tried to escape the tree ahahahah).
Andddd these two LOVE margaritas. One of John and Jourdan’s favorite places to get margs is at Rosepepper, the spunky and cute joint down in East Nashville. I’ve actually never been (anyone wanna take me? Just kidding, I gotta go with John and Jourdan because they’re the experts duh), but recently they had a sign that said “What if we kissed under the Rosepepper sign?” and Jourdan REALLY wanted to take some engagement photos there (like how freaking precious would that be!!). BUT the sign changed before their session, so we did the next best thing — we brought the margs to the session!
Ugh, this session was just the absolute best. I’m so glad we got to include so many things that John and Jourdan loved — hikes at Percy, their pups, and their favorite drink — and just make this session truly about them and their love for each other. They’re getting married this year and I’m so psyched for them to officially take on the world together as husband and wife. Congrats you guys!! Taking these photos of the both of you was so fun!
