If you’ve known me for any amount of time, you KNOW that I’m a morning person. I love morning vibes — I’m usually never cranky, and I love the sweetness and slowness of the morning. On the flip side, if you’re with me past 8pm, just know that I will probably be dead tired, especially if we are sitting around playing board games or just chatting (but also @ my wedding couples, I will be VERY awake for your wedding! Don’t worry ahahaha, it’s only on slow evenings that I start yawning at 8pm).
SO when Kirsten and Chris were down for a 7am session in Franklin, TN (a 30 min drive from them! Literally WHAT they are so selfless and flexible it’s FINE) I was SO HAPPY. Sunrise sessions are so underrated in my opinion. There’s something about the fog and the dew and the mist and the golden rays that just provides a sweetness to each session that otherwise can’t be captured. And so a sunrise combined with the hilarity and nuggetness of Chris and Kirsten is such a power team — I can’t believe these two look this dang GOOD in every single photo!! I. AM. OBSESSED.
But okay!! Some of you might know who these two nuggets are, because yes they met at Vanderbilt. I met Chris through Kirsten when they started dating (wahoo!!) and I lovedddd how happy he made her (and how happy they both make each other now!! It’s honestly so precious and they are truly just so FUN to hang out with EEP!). Kirsten and I met before our freshman year at Vanderbilt through a groupme (#iykyk) and hung out ALL the time freshman year. Through the years we’ve had classes together (most notably Physics with Maggie where we all struggled through endless amounts of physics problems together ahahaha AND History of Rock Music, which was cut short with COVID last year). She’s an absolute genius, a passionate gal, a friend to all, a person who can make a brick wall smile — and now a fiance!
One of my favorite things to look back on in this season with Kirsten is her wedding plan!! On December 14, 2016, our freshman year of college, a few of us sat down together and dreamed up our weddings together on google docs (how convenient ). I pulled it up when I saw that Kirsten was engaged, and it’s crazy to see how much has not changed in these four years — for example, Kirsten still LOVES periwinkle and it’s still a part of her wedding color scheme, and she still loves spaghetti and meatballs . Man oh man, it’s so cool to be living out a season of her life that we dreamed of together in 2016!!
These photos are just so fun, nuggety, and full of LIFE — an exact description of these two. Enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them!!
