April and May in Nashville are the months of rain — you never know when a session is going to have to be rescheduled because of the downpour!! April 28th was one of these days. From morning to evening, the weather forecast said it was going to be pouring all day, so I rescheduled two of my early afternoon sessions, but the weather did look a bit better in the evening, and I knew I really wanted to meet Dustin and Teresa, so we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best… and man, we got some AMAZING weather and took the most stunning photos of Teresa and Dustin!!
The rain truly couldn’t stop us — there wasn’t even a drizzle during the entire session! We met at a park in Nashville (if you know anything about Nashville you’ll definitely be able to spot this park) and we had so much fun playing around with the architecture and adventuring the areas around the pond and the beautiful flowers. I learned that Teresa is terrified of deer (I’m terrified of ducks haha) and that Dustin lovesss picking Teresa up (and really wants to remake the Dirty Dancing scene one day).
Teresa even told me that she knew of me, even though we had never met in person before. She is actually also in the Vanderbilt Class of 2020 cohort, and was in the same education cohort as my freshman roommate (oh hey Carol!) and my sweet friend Heather Grace. I LOVE these random connections that my clients have with me, and it was so sweet and fun to be able to finally meet Teresa in person and hear about her job at Eakin Elementary teaching first graders (I LOVE ALL OF MY TEACHER FRIENDS FIERCELY) and meet Dustin, her fiance and watch their relationship unfold before me during the session!
These two are getting married in June 2022 and I’m so excited for them! Congratulations to the Future Argos! These photos were so fun to take, and I know they’re are going to have a wonderful and encouraging and fun and beautiful marriage ahead of them and face all the challenges of life together 🙂 Cheers!
