Wedding | Woods Chapel United Methodist Church and Longview Mansion, Lee’s Summit, Missouri
Kirsten and I planned our weddings way back in 2017, the first year I ever knew her. She was one of my first friends at Vanderbilt, and it’s easy to see why — people gravitate to her and her presence. She’s hilarious, genuine, silly, kind, generous, selfless, humble, and the most understanding and fun person around. Everyone just WANTS to be her friend and to be loved by her, and I’m honored to be one of those friends. And now seeing Chris and Kirsten together and MARRIED, it all makes even more sense now. These two were made for each other. Not because they complete each other, but because they challenge each other and are simply each other’s home and safe person. They cheer each other on, sit with each other when they need company, and are just simply best friends. Together, they take on the world together and make it a more fun and wonderful place to be in, and I’m just HYPE that they’re married and I got to be a part of their day!!
But legit. THEIR DAY. From waking up early to go to church with Kirsten and her parents, to Kirsten’s stunning dress, to the entire beautiful historic mansion, to hanging out with Kirsten’s sweet mama who hosted me SO so well for the weekend, to seeing old friends, to meeting Kirsten’s new friends, and to the CAKE of course (which is not me exaggerating. When asked what she was most excited for in the day ahead, Kirsten would respond without hesitating ‘THE CAKE’ so don’t think I’m overselling Raspberry Rose), this weekend was one for the books. It’s sweet to see friends get married and go out into the world as the coolest people I know.
I love you guys!! You know that. Cheers to the Elliotts! May God bless your years ahead with many many laughs, lots of truffles and cake, and lots of loved ones surrounding you forever and always.
