I’m not super competitive person, BUT there is one challenge that I will never back down from.
And that’s making sure that my couples actually have FUN during their photos. Yes, you read that right. Actually ENJOYING photos and the whole process of taking them too.
For some people, photos are easy and smiles are natural and the whole process feels effortless. But for most people, taking photos can be hard! It can feel boring or even insincere. You might even feel like you’re taking photos just for social media (not true!! they are for you and future generations to sit around and look at on the couch, but I TOTALLY get this idea).
SO when Cassidy told me that John was not a fan of photos, I took it upon myself to make sure that the photos side of the day felt easier and more fun. We kept it fast and lighthearted, made sure he got to spend a TON of time with his BRIDE, and truly kept the day real and less forced.
I mean, it felt so genuine. Even to the point that we had a spontaneous “first touch” because nerves were taking over and they wanted to talk to each other before walking down the aisle!!
Every moment of this day felt intentional — from the sweet sweet speeches about how ridiculously incredible John and Cassidy are, to taking time to ACTUALLY chat and dance with their friends and family during every part of the day. It was so beautiful and the weather could not have been more lovely!
John, I know you had a blast and to both you and Cassidy, thank you for choosing me and letting me intrude on your day and be a part of it all! I had so much fun chatting with you both, bustling, and running around outside looking at cows. You guys are top-notch people, and this was simply a top-notch day!!
Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Asquini!! 🥂
