Mini Couple’s Session | Percy Warner Park, Nashville, Tennessee

Y’all, mini sessions are where it’s at. I don’t know about you, but there’s something really fun about just giving 30 minutes of your time at golden hour in a beautiful location, to have fun with your significant other and be all kinds of chaos — andddddd that was exactly what this session was, and I’m sooooo glad Em and Roger reached out to have a session with me!

I’ve known Emily ever since she was a wee little freshman at Vanderbilt University. I don’t remember how we met exactly (she might just have been a potential new member for my sorority or maybe thinking about joining The Navigators??) but we started having weekly breakfasts together in Commons and I loveddd getting to know this sweet woman as a friend. She is kind, passionate, hilarious, wise, and just so fun to be around, and I had such a great time on our weekly meal dates getting to know her and her heart (and forcing her to laugh at all my dumb life decisions).

Sometime during that year, Emily starts telling me about this guy Roger that she started to get to know in AACF and I could tell that a real spark was there. They started dating and somehow, I never met Roger in all my years of being at Vandy (wait that’s a lie — I think I saw him once after getting coffee with Emily and I dropped her off with Roger after). But really, I never got to hang out with him and I knew nothing about his personality.

Soooo fast forward to this session! It was my first time actually meeting Roger, and after about five minutes I told him straight-up that he was absolutely hilarious and that I’m so glad that I’ve now been able to meet him and see his personality in real time. He responded by saying that this is just how he genuinely is and I think that’s what makes him absolutely incredible — he’s just always to kind and easy to be friends with! Em and Roger make such a great team together

But y’all, their session was so FUN. Literally we couldn’t stop laughing the entire time, whether from failed prompts, random ideas, or just mixing up golf balls and planes (). These two were absolutely stunning, made every prompt look easy and flawless, and are just the best humans to hang out with!!
