Rehearsal Dinner | The Estate at Cherokee Dock, Lebanon, Tennessee

From snowy sessions while they were dating, to a surprise proposal (where Emma thought she had won a giveaway with me – sorry girl), to family photos in Christmas PJs — I’ve really gotten to have a front row seat and watch Emma and Austin walk through all the seasons of life. What an honor it has been to capture it all!

So of COURSE I had to be there on the eve of their wedding. And this time, I really got to listen. I got to listen as their friends and family shared their favorite stories of these two. I learned about Austin’s generosity and Emma’s hard work. How their family and friends deeply see them and know them and care about them. How they look for the best in others and bring beauty into the world.

Maybe I like rehearsal dinners even more than weddings? I’m not sure. But something’s for sure – there was something in the air that night, and it wasn’t just the beautiful flowers or the incredibly detailed cake or the insanely perfect weather.

Maybe, just maybe, it was love. A real, genuine, deeply rooted in truth and friendship love.
