Portrait/Branding Session | Vandyke Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee
I love having clients come back to me over and over and over again, and Rebecca has now been one of those clients. I still remember the first time we shot together, earlier this year during quarantine, and the first thing she told me was that she hated having her photo taken and that she was always awkward in front of the camera (oh and that she has a HUGE obsession with hats ahahahaha which you will definitely realize from this session — we had 6 different outfits and each outfit had a hat; she’s the BEST!!).
Honestly, I highly doubt that if you told her that this year she would be amazingly bold and vulnerable on social media, with both her personal testimony and with also showing up consistently in front of a camera and loving it, she might have not believed you. I mean, we’ve done not one, not two, but THREE content sessions over quarantine, and she’s nailed every single one. It’s been a joy to see her share her story and be a light in this world and I’ve loved getting to be a part of it and celebrating her journey.
This session looked a little bit different than the other ones. This one was indoors in a beautiful suite at the Vandkye Hotel, one of Nashville’s very best. To celebrate her birthday this year, she asked a couple of her closest friends and her sister to spend a night with her there — drinking wine, eating cake, and partying it up in PJs. Andddd she invited me to document the cuteness of the hotel and I WAS SO DOWN. And y’all, this place did NOT disappoint. I highly recommend hanging out there.
But honestly, just check out these photos and make sure you check out Rebecca’s story and account at @theenoughjournal on Instagram. Her story is just so authentic and REAL (something the world needs way more of) and she shares her real struggles and journey through miscarriage and singleness. I just love ALL OF IT and all of her HEART and just highly encourage you to go and check it out.
