As we end 2020 and enter 2021, I think it’s easy to get into the mindset that COVID is over and all of the bad things of 2020 are over, because of the “new year, new life” mindset. Obviously, that’s not true. The pandemic is still happening and the repercussions of the pandemic are still very real and active.
And that brings me to this grad session. Meghan is an amazing human being, and she graduated in December of 2020 from Vanderbilt University, a semester earlier than her cohort. And now she is facing the same things that the May class of 2020 faced — entering adulthood and real life in the middle of a pandemic, but now even with fewer people in the same exact stage of life. Let me tell you how HONORED I was to be able to spend time with Meghan and take some photos to commemorate this sweet season in her life, even if we did have to wear masks and even if campus was dead quiet because of the mandatory quarantine happening on campus.
Okay but let me tell you a little bit about Meghan. Meghan graduated with degrees in Economics and Sociology at Vanderbilt this past December, and she is now starting her job for Mars in Nashville. She loves Bridgerton, and even though I haven’t seen it, I feel like I know enough about this TV show from all the TikTok references, and her dress honestly feels like it should be from the show. She sang for Double Major when she was on campus and is super kind, friendly, stunning, and amazing!!
Check out these rad photos of her to see how magical and angelic she looked in ALL OF THESE PHOTOS. Literally WHAT – a true Queen!!
Oh, and fun fact – DON’T IRON YOUR GRAD GOWN. Please learn from my mistakes lOL. My fam may or may not have tried to iron the gown, and we may or may not have made a HUGE HOLE in the gown, and then may or may not have sewed it up a little bit (it’s still not cute — I had to do some editing to the photos lol) but it’s all good now! If you want to iron them, I would either steam it OR use a white towel as a separator between the iron and the gown!! LOL. Meghan was such a good sport about this
