Y’all. This wedding was sweet, beautiful, romantic, and just EVERYTHING. Keep reading this post to just hear more about Kevin and Patience’s journey to get married.
These two lovebirds met at church when they ran into each other at the coffee bar. They introduced themselves to each other and sparks FLEW like never before. Hunter and Zara, their sweet children, were in Sunday School class together, so Kevin and Patience met up outside the class after service to grab the kids. This led to exchanging phone numbers, then a FIVE HOUR LONG phone call that very evening that ended at 2am, and now….MARRIAGE.
These two just knew from the beginning that they were meant for each other, and I had the honor of seeing their love so clearly on their wedding day. I spent a lot of time taking photos of Patience getting ready, and we laughed and joked about just how much Kevin knew Patience — from her worries about getting everything done on the wedding day (which if you are/were a bride, you KNOW how stressful a wedding day can be) to what Kevin will think about her vows. She trusted him with every part of herself and it was SOOOO sweet and romantic.
But y’all. These two just had the best day ever and I’m SO UNBELIEVABLY glad that I got to hang out with Patience on her wedding day. Seriously. NOTHING compares to being with a bride on her wedding day. Giving her encouragement and lots of support, finding hairpieces and belts within closets, giving hugs when necessary, finding tall people to hang up wedding dresses for dress shots — that’s ALL a part of my job and it brings me so much joy to love these sweet brides-turned-friends. My personality is to serve YOU with every part of myself. It’s what I do best. I’m so glad I got to walk this journey alongside Patience and celebrate this day.
Most of Patience’s family was international, so a huge (and very important) part of the wedding was livestreaming it to those who couldn’t be there (also because of COVID). It’s obviously emotional to not have your closest family members (and your maid of honor) at your wedding, but Patience showed her strength and bravery and trust in Kevin by going along with the ceremony with them looking on from afar. I’m still so unbelievably proud of them.
Kevin and Patience have been THE cutest couple and I’m so glad I got to work with them (honestly, it didn’t even feel like work! These two are MODELS and just so fun to take photos of). Kevin left this on my Instagram after I delivered some of their photos: “Angel, thanks so much for the AMAZING job you did shooting our wedding!!! You were fun, energetic, patient, flexible, creative, and most importantly, took some INCREDIBLE shots! I want to shout it from the rooftops for anyone who is considering a photographer… CHOOSE ANGEL! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks again, Angel, and we look forward to working with you to take more photos in the future ”.
Literally WHAT. I’m so thankful for these two and BLOWN AWAY by these VERY kind words. Sooo much love to the both of them!!! Check out these photos below for a glimpse into their lovely wedding day!!
