Senior/Mini | Brentwood, TN

For as long as I can remember, Hailey and Lexi have been my go-to models for literally anything photography. Not only are they absolutely stunning and beautiful, but they also live across the street for me, which makes quick little sessions at sunset the perfect way to end an evening. For example, when I got a new lens this past year, I texted Lexi (Hail was at college) if she and her friend, Ava, would be down to model for me for a few minutes. I gave them all the photos and they had a blast, so it was truly a win-win for everyone. I love having them model for anything I do.

Usually, we head over to Marcella Vivrette Smith Park or the Ericksons’ backyard to snag a few photos. However, for this shoot, we headed over to my backyard, which connects with our neighborhood’s walking path (along with all the other neighborhood amenities). Recently, a new trail was made in our backyard and this is where the three of us adventured. This trail cuts through the fields, crosses by the railroad tracks, and is where my family walks every night at sunset, because the sun setting over the fields is absolutely stunning. 

Seriously. Golden hour in this field is freakin’ MAGICAL and UNREAL. Like holy cow — these two women became goddesses in this lighting. Like I can’t get over how beautiful these photos are of them!! The light just glows above them and makes the photos angelic. 

If you don’t know the Ericksons, you need to meet them. Lexi is a rising senior at Ravenwood High School (like what??? Is that even possible?? I still remember when she was a toddler holy cow). Hailey tagged along the shoot as well, because sister portraits are some of the cutest and most precious things to have. Hailey just graduated from the University of Knoxville (GBO!) and is attending UTK’s Vet School in the fall. She’s so talented and I’m so proud of her for getting in because she’s truly going to be the best vet around. This past semester, she was down in Florida working with horses and it was the time of her life! Ask her about it 🙂
