Apparently all my clients are in love with the woods and finding the cutest nooks in the world because the Hucks blew the ROOF off in this one-of-a-kind enchanted forest, out in Leipers Fork. I asked Rachel how she found the spot, and as a photographer herself, she said that she zoomed in on Google Maps, found a patch of green, and asked if we could head over here . I love that — that’s true dedication you guys! Trust your photographer (or in this case, your trusty photographer-client) to find the best locations for you! It’s worth it. I promise.
Anyway, this shoot was so fun and just so wonderful to hang out with the Hucks and take some beautiful photos of them. This was actually a very delayed anniversary shoot as they got married in June of 2017, but I’m so glad we still got to do this!
The trail to the spot where we wanted to take photos was about a half mile from the parking lot, so we bit the bullet and hiked up. Guys. It was HOT and HUMID (classic Nashville summer weather) and I mean I was fine. I’m in comfy shoes and shorts and a t-shirt. But Elliot and Rachel were obviously dressed up and they were troopers in the heat and I’m still so proud of them (they didn’t complain once!). We made it to the top, sat and enjoyed the view for a second because dangggg I for one have zero endurance, and then took some of the loveliest photos on this very empty trail.
These two are so sweet and intentional. We talked about everything under the sun (hahaha pun intended k thanks bye) from phones and phone carriers to how androids and iPhones differ to snakes and nightmares and everything in between (fun fact: Rachel is terrified of snakes. So obviously I told her how there was a snake in our garden the other day and then she told me how her parents’ house has snakes INSIDE THE HOUSE and I will never be the same ).
These two are wonderful!! Seriously, check out this session and just how sweet and hilarious they are — I had a blast just spending time with them and taking these photos!
