Senior | Chaatable, Downtown Nashville, and the Pedestrian Bridge

Senior sessions are seriously SO much fun. Seniors are some of the coolest people I know in general, but specifically this year’s rising seniors. This season is special with COVID, because no one has any idea what is about to happen and how this year is going to go. Being a rising senior right now means stepping into the unknown (if Frozen 2 did not play in your head just know, you need to get on my level) and learning to be flexible. I’m so proud of these rising seniors.

ANDDDD this senior session did NOT disappoint in the slightest. Sona is a rising senior at Centennial High School, and it was SO GOOD to hang out with her and get to know her. At her consultation meeting, we talked about how we both played tennis for our respective high schools, and how the courts at Centennial are the WORST — not because of funds or anything, but just because the courts are staggered on the hill which means that the wind is SWINGING (#iykyk). My tennis team always hated playing at Centennial, because the wind was always changing and crazy.

Anyway, during their consultation, Sona and her mom told me that we should try taking photos at Chaatable, a SUPERRRRR FANCY Indian restaurant in West Nashville. I had been meaning to go there for quite a while because the food looks gooddd as heck, but never had made it over. However, Sona and her family have gone quite a few times and even became friends with the owners! We asked the restaurant owners if we could have a part of Sona’s senior session inside their beautiful restaurant, and they agreed.

Y’all. Chaatable is BEAUTIFUL. The colors are lively and vibrant, and there is just SO MUCH going on in that room. There are colorful umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, a shining wall full of bangles, colorful cute chairs everywhere, tons of different walls and decorations, and just so much more. Even the cashier station at the front is a renovated rickshaw (which I didn’t even notice until Sona pointed it out). We had so much fun just wandering around and taking some cute photos in the area.

After that, we headed downtown to take photos by the Pedestrian Bridge — my classic spot in Nashville. It’s so beautiful and fun and is always a hit. The photos speak for themselves — classy, yet fun and joyful. We found a cute little hideout and took some lovely photos by the water (SOME OF MY FAVORITE PHOTOS EVER TAKEN, and SONA IS STUNNING) and we just had so much fun in general.

My favorite part? Sona’s sister tagged along with her own little camera and was the LIFE of the shoot. She kept me laughing the entire time and was the sweetest little goofball. I asked her what she had been up to that day, and she said that she had set up a picnic in the living room — what a nugget!!
