Graduation | East Nashville High School + Pedestrian Bridge
Meeting these three women and having the opportunity to hang out with them was probably a peak in my life. Like seriously. If you don’t know them, you gotta meet them.
Shannon and I both recently graduated from Vanderbilt University. We were in the same year, but our paths never really crossed on campus. However, that didn’t stop rumors of Shannon’s kind and hilarious personality to reach my ears. When she reached out about doing a possible graduation session (with a twist), I of course said yes!
Shannon has spent the majority of her time at Vanderbilt as a part of YoungLife. YoungLife is a Christian-based ministry with the goal of building a close, trusting, and loving relationship between different people in different walks of life. Y’all. She LOVES being a part of this, and she’s perfect for this. If you know Shannon, she is easy to talk to, laughs a lot, asks the deeper questions, and will dance in public with you. YoungLife with Shannon is unstoppable.
Shannon’s mentee, Diamond, is truly one of the most ambitious, hilarious, and beautiful people I’ve ever met. She graduated from East Nashville Magnet School this year, but somehow, that’s the least of her accomplishments. Diamond also owns her own dance company (what evENN!!!) and is a dance coach for her team. Guys, read that again. Not only is she a high school graduate, but she also coaches her own freakin’ DANCE TEAM. I’m just in awe at her hard-working spirit and ability to pursue her dreams so well — it takes a lottttt of courage.
And yes, Diamond still continues to do amazing things — she’s the best mother EVER. Her sweet little daughter is the brightest and cutest star. Armani was the star of the show during the shoot. She didn’t cry, let me hold her while her momma and Shannon were posing for the camera, and was just outrageously adorable the entire time.
Y’all. You NEED to check these photos out. There’s just something so sweet about these three and their deep friendship, and I’m so blessed to have had this sweet time with them. Click through these photos!
