Wedding | Hidden Pines Chapel in Highland Village, Texas
Daniel and Jenny WILSON. It’s official you guys! These two are MARRIED!!! Wow, I’m so so SO excited for these two.
If you haven’t already, catch their proposal here. It’s such a sweet story and a definite experience. With perfect decorations, lighting, and a balance of intimate time and a huge PARTAY, it was a freakin’ blast.
Also, if you haven’t already done so, catch their engagement here. It was beautiful, magical, and overflowing with love and joy. You won’t want to miss it!
These two got married in Highland Village, Texas, near Dallas, in the Hidden Pines Chapel. The chapel is STUNNING. The wooden beams just gleamed and their ceremony became so much more magical in that room.
I flew into Dallas, met up with some friends who showed me around the city for the morning (thanks Carlee and Khori!), and then who dropped me off with the bridesmaids and Jenny. The bridal party and Jenny immediately headed off to the rehearsal dinner, leaving me with time to get ready for the next morning (which for me includes: going through the timeline, looking up the venue, memorizing family members’ names and wedding party members’ names, doing my hair, and chillin’) and play some Bananagrams by myself (yes, this is a thing, and yes, it’s fun).
The next morning, the girls started getting ready at the house, but mostly we packed up in a frenzy and headed out to the venue, all piled in a car together (Haydon may or may not have been sitting on my lap, oops).
And y’all. The rest of the day was beautiful. We headed to the bridal suite as guests started to arrive, the ceremony began, and these two lovebirds were married. After portraits, we had a BLAST of a reception, with some dances featuring Layla’s original song, a mariachi band, and some wild and fun dancing (check out these photos!!). The AMAZING flowers were provided by the one and only Madison Dow of Desert Flowers Co. — check our their work!
Then, after the wedding, there was an after party (YASSS!) which was important for me because I had forgotten to take my luggage out of Jenny’s car, which was the car they got into for the send-off. As they drove away, I realized what had happened and FREAKED OUT, until someone reminded me that they were simply headed to the afterparty down the road. A couple friends and I (read: Matt and Abbey) drove over, grabbed my luggage, changed into “airport clothes,”, stole some food, said our goodbyes, and then headed to the airport to relax and head home.
That day was simply beautiful. The focus of the wedding was “towards Zion” and that’s a simple summary of the Wilsons’ heart — forever towards Zion and the Kingdom.
Check these photos out. You might just cry. These two just love God, each other, their family, and friends so well.
