There are sessions… and then there are SESSIONS. The ones that are just pure magic and literal gold. The ones that I honestly forget that time exists and it just feels like it’s the three of us in the world, because we are having THAT much fun that we forget about everything else that’s happening. The sessions that are just so romantic, emotional, good, and enjoyable.
This was one of those sessions.
Gabie and John are first off, some of the most incredible people you’ll ever meet. They each have a heart of gold, are incredibly intentional and kind, are insanely hilarious (John and his dad jokes are all the vibes of a perfect cheeseball), and they truly are just like old friends to those around them. Gabie and I decided that if we had grown up together, we would have been inseparable best friends, but becoming friends in college/post-college will have to do 🙂
The duo that these two are is also unmatched. John deeply cares for and loves Gabie, and you can see it in his actions and his words. He thought of ways throughout the session to make Gabie comfortable and feel loved and seen, and honestly that’s romantic in and of itself — BUT THIS MAN also pulled out the best and most romantic spontaneous poses/prompts ever and omg omg omg I CAN’T HANDLE IT. These two really do love and trust each other so deeply and I’m so beyond excited for them to get married and take on the world together.
Gabie is hilarious, thoughtful, BEAUTIFUL, bold, graceful (you should see her jump over puddles ), and joyful. She loves John so well and so deeply, and when these two are together you can just tell that they are both so at peace and everything just feels better.
Ugh. This engagement session in the beautiful city of Chattanooga, Tennessee was everything. It’s about the halfway point between Nashville and Athens, GA, and we parked at Coolidge Park and then wandered up and around the Walnut Street Bridge before catching the sunset on the waterfront. There were very few people on this weekend evening (probably because the Super Bowl was happening) and everything about that day just felt magical and for us.
I’m so thankful that God has orchestrated my life to cross with John and Gabie’s and I honestly just can’t wait for them to get married in May!! What a freaking beautiful day that will be, but for now, these lovely engagement photos and time with them during the session will have to do 🙂 Enjoy these photos as much as we love them!!
