MAN. This day was just the absolute best of fall and love and I’m so glad that Brian and Carina are MARRIED.
Andddd their love story is the one that Vanderbilt dreams are made of — they met during their freshman year at Vanderbilt Visions. If you didn’t attend Vanderbilt, Visions is a group of 15 or so students that you get randomly placed into Freshman year. You’re lead by an older student on campus and together you guys meet weekly to check in, learn more about Vanderbilt, and gain a few new friends. Some students love it, some aren’t a fan. But Carina and Brian definitely could not complain about it all these years later!
Brian and Carina became friends and Brian asked Carina to eat dinner with him one night. Carina, not realizing it was a date, told her roommate about it, fairly indifferently. Her roommate, of course, realized it was a date, and Carina was totally shocked. She found Brian and told him that she would love to hang out, but just as friends. They became a lot closer that semester and finally in December they went on a series of unofficial dates and then talked on the phone every night of Christmas break. In January they finally started dating and they’ve been together ever since!!

These two love hanging out with each other, eating all the carbs they can, and just having long talks. Their wedding was absolutely perfect — they just invited their closest friends and family, had the absolute sweetest flower girls, decorated with the most beautiful color scheme, and said their vows in total reverance and joy. It was the most PERFECTEST day and I’m so honored that I got to be there and celebrate with them!! Oh, and for their honeymoon they went to SPAIN to visit some relatives who couldn’t make it to the wedding andddd to enjoy everything that Spain has to offer. Perfect? Um YES.
So cheers to the Riders and many many years of donuts, laughs, and adventures. I love y’all a lot!!
