Mini Couples’ Session | Ellington Agricultural Center, Nashville, TN
My job allows me to meet so many new people, and during quarantine, that’s been such a gift and a blessing (I’m starting to realize how much of a social extrovert I am). I love getting to know people and love having the opportunity to hear about their lives, learn what they are up to, and just see them interact with their loved one — photography is truly the best job ever and I’m so thankful for it.
Anddddd this was the best and sweetest part of this session with Emery and Philip. Emery is another Nashville photographer (check out her work here!!) and she’s so unbelievably talented and wonderful. Her boyfriend, Philip, is absolutely hilarious and wonderful as well, and the two of them are current students at Vanderbilt University. Emery reached out to me via Insta to get a session and date claimed, and I was sooo excited to hang out with them and take some cute photos of them!
In the middle of the session, Philip mentioned that he ran into Dylan on his way to the session a couple hours before, and that caught my attention — he knew Dylan and Courtney from my prior session? WHAT. The world was so stinkin’ small. We kept talking and I realized that he was Dylan’s little in their fraternity, and that I had probably run into him several times in my last year at Vanderbilt — how crazy is that?
I love when my couples refer their friends to me because it just makes me feel like my clients are one big family! I just loveeee connecting with people and knowing that they all know each other. (On a side note, have you ever heard of the six degrees of separation theory? The theory states that all people on average are only 6 social connections away from knowing another person. How crazy is that? I just kept thinking about that through this conversation ahahaha!!)
Anyway, these two killed their session and were so beautiful and handsome the entire time. Emery borrowed my Gigi Pip hat for the session (if you ever have a session with me, you’re more than welcome to borrow it!) and it looked SO DANG GOOD with her Madewell sweater (she even matched her sweater colors to her nails and Philip’s sweater — I was deeply impressed!!).
Check out these photos and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed taking them!
