Proposal | Arrington Vineyards, Arrington, TN

I LOVE hanging out with my old clients again and again, and what better way to reunite than by getting them ENGAGED?!?!?! Truly nothing. I’m literally obsessed with these two and how wonderful they are. THEY ARE GETTING MARRIED AND I’M SO HERE FOR IT.

I first met Spencer and Alyssa earlier this summer, when Alyssa reached out about throwing a surprise session for her and Spencer to celebrate another year of them dating. Y’all, we had so much fun. ANYWAY. Beside the session being just all around FUN and CUTE, the session was a wonderful time for Spencer and I to get to know each other, which helped with planning the proposal! In the middle of October (October 14 to be exact) I was just scrolling mindlessly through Instagram when all of a sudden I received THE TEXT from Spencer, asking me if I was free on the evening of November 1st to help get Alyssa engaged, and I have never been happier to be free. Seriously, I was sooo glad I didn’t have to say no.

Granted, there was a reason I was free — Daylight Savings Time ended on November 1st, which means that sunset is an entire hour earlier than before. An entire HOUR. Spencer and Alyssa were going to do some wine tasting from 4-5:30pm at Arrington, and then Spencer was going to propose after — however, the sun sets at 4:30pm. WELL. This proposal was all flash, because it was so dark out, but the photos are still absolutely precious.

I love these two a lot, and their friends worked so hard to decorate the picnic table to make this as romantic as possible (or I guess as much as it can be since it was pitch-black). Spencer bought flowers, champagne and cute champagne flutes, boxes of chocolate, and just did an all around amazing job of planning and putting together this entire thing, and his friends were so kind and helped him set up the entire thing.
