Couples Session | Downtown Nashville

One of the things that I love about my job is that I get to meet so many different people, in different walks of life, with different dreams and goals than me. I love meeting new people and becoming a part of their lives, hanging out for an evening and just having fun, and that’s exactly what happened during this session with Alyssa and Spencer!

Alyssa reached out to me monthsss ago, asking if I could do a couples session for her and Spencer, to surprise him for their 7 year dating anniversary. She said she had found me via Instagram (and I think through Kyle Langford!!) and that they LOVED my work and just the fun and joy behind all my photos. So we planned for this shoot, had to reschedule once, and ended up having the time of our lives. After the session, Alyssa messaged me: “SOO excited to see them!! You were amazing. Spence was honestly very nervous before we left and when we got back, he was like “that was actually so fun!”

Alyssa teaches elementary students at a school in Metro Nashville, and it’s been a TIME with COVID happening. She’s been doing online school with the kids for the past while, and if everything stays as is, Metro will be going back in-person right after Fall Break. It’s DEFINITELY a crazy time if you’re a teacher (so go air-hug every teacher you know!).

Spencer is an analyst, but also aspires to be a chef and have a restaurant. According to Alyssa, he makes a mean peach gnocchi and always has the best food! If you want to check out his food and Alyssa’s food photos, go to @katzcookin on Instagram! The food looks DELICIOUS ohmygoodness.

Y’all. We had an absolutely incredible time taking photos in Nashville. These two are SO sweet, hilarious, down-to-earth, beautiful, romantic, and just FUN-LOVING. It was amazing to capture the essence of their relationship and walk around the beauty of downtown Nashville. To add excitement to the session, we witnessed a wedding on the bridge as well near the end of the shoot (and I lowkey think we crashed some of the photos on accident WHOOPS). Needless to say, this was just an all around extraordinary evening with some fabulous people!
