Wedding | The Barn at Acorn Ridge, Toomsboro, Georgia

There are some nights that I lay awake, dreaming about weddings and couples and ideal clients. Dreaming that their wedding would be absolutely perfect — from the decorations to the food to their personalities to the venue to their guests, and everything in between. It’s always a long-lost dream — stuff THIS perfect just doesn’t happen in real life.

But then in walked Nathan and Laura to my life.

Guys. I can’t speak more highly of these two. I knew Laura through a friend and we had even met a couple of times in person, years before her wedding. I also knew Nathan through a different friend as well (shoutout to Navs for being WELL CONNECTED between colleges ohmygoodness). But guys. Their personalities are astounding, and even from just planning a wedding with the both of them and spending their beautiful wedding day with them, I feel loved and impacted in deep ways (yes, even as just their wedding photographer).

Laura is intentional, kind, joyful (seriously, oh my goodness. A TRUE JOY), and full of honesty and depth. Nathan is hilarious, thoughtful, and sincere and loves and honors Laura so beautifully. And more than that, these two are passionate for the Gospel and they seek to glorify God in all of their endeavors, from going on EDGE with The Navigators (USC is getting some GOOD ONES wow) to how they viewed their wedding day. Their selflessness and generosity were so clearly seen, and working with these two was SUCH a dream.

UGH. This wedding day was everything, and I’m just excited for a lifetime of marriage for these two, as they stand beside each other and continue to worship God with their lives.

The Barn at Acorn Ridge was also BEAUTIFUL. Y’all. A beautiful wooden barn placed on top of a hill, with the cutest outdoor ceremony space, a gorgeous and open reception area, and even a beautiful bridal suite (with STUNNING lighting). The Barn is an amazing venue — the owners are so kind and the place is so beautifully done — and I would highly recommend having your wedding there! It was PERFECT for sunset photos, too.

Y’all. This wedding was simply perfect. Laura and Nathan are SO PRECIOUS and literally models in every single photo. The wedding party was SO generous and kind, and I’m excited to go back to Georgia a few more times and capture a few more weddings for this friend group. I don’t think you’ll find a more intentional, giving, and selfless group than this gang.

All in all, this wedding was a dream and it was truly an honor to have a front-row seat to Nathan and Laura’s lives. I love my job on the regular, but I love it even more when the people I serve are some of the coolest people I’ve ever met.
