Engagement | Mesa Falls + St. Anthony Sand Dunes — Rexburg, Idaho
Y’all. Idaho is BEAUTIFUL. I’m so excited that I finally got to visit this beautiful state and spend some time hanging out with the future Hennesseys while taking their engagement photos.
Emily and I met in high school. I honestly don’t remember our first conversation, but we’ve had so many good memories in our years of being friends. She was the person who introduced me to Legally Blonde (and if that’s not the most important friendship in the world, I don’t know what is). We’ve gone to the zoo together and acted like we were five years old. We’ve baked cake balls, eaten a lot of biscuits from the school cafeteria, had Sonic adventures, watched so many more movies, and I even took some senior photos for her back in high school. I’ve loved being her friend.
Emily is hilarious, kind, STUNNING (as you can obviously see), fun, spontaneous, hard-working, and so full of joy. When I called Emily a few weeks before she got engaged, I asked her what some of her favorite qualities of Tiegue were. I hadn’t met him yet, but the way that Emily described him made me feel like I had. Two qualities that she mentioned still stand out to me — Tiegue’s kindness and his humor. Y’all, I got to see those in person and I fully agree with both of those. I love that these two are getting married!!
These two hosted me so well in Idaho. Emily had 3 exams on the day of our shoot, but she studied hard while I edited photos. We played cards and they performed magic tricks for me (one of which I still honestly don’t know how they solved) and just had a great time. We stayed up late (mostly looking at photos, because that’s FUN) and it was just good to get dressed up with the two of them for this shoot.
We took their engagement photos at two locations — the first part was up by Mesa Falls. It was BEAUTIFUL — the only downside was that there were about one thousand mosquitoes and that was kinda disgusting. But we still got some gorgeous photos in the trees. Then we drove back to St. Anthony Sand Dunes and ran around in the sand. It was truly one of the most fun engagement shoots I’ve done in one of the most beautiful locations ever.
I’m obsessed with this shoot. Check these photos out!! You seriously won’t be disappointed. Want to book your own engagement, couples, or wedding session? Click here for more details!
