I love my family a whole lot. This year was supposed to be HUGE for us. I graduated from Vanderbilt University at the start of May, getting my Bachelors, and my brother was graduating from Westminster Seminary in California, getting his Masters in Divinity. We were supposed to fly out a week early for his commencement, adventure 5 national parks, go to Disneyland, meet his girlfriend’s family (we love Elise!!) and just spend some well needed time in California, which is hands-down the best state.
BUT obviously none of that happened. COVID-19 decided to throw all of these plans out the window, and although I wish we could have gone on this trip, I am still extremely thankful that we’ve been able to keep in contact with each other and just be safe from corona. PSA: Please continue to wear masks. K, thanks.
Anyway, my sweet friends Mark and Ariana are getting married in SEVEN DAYS ohmygoodness and since my brother and I are both in the wedding, we figured it was time for him and Elise to fly out and spend a couple of weeks with our family. So far, we’ve done a ton of socially distanced activities together — dancing in the rain on 12 South, trying Nashville food, making our own sushi (which is actually highkey really fun), taking cute family photos on the Pedestrian Bridge (yes, we don’t have masks in the photos. But yes, we were wearing masks THE REST OF THE TIME. Don’t attack us).
Anddd as non-traditional as it is, I got to take some photos of my favorite brother ever and Elise! Again, they are NOT engagement photos (yes, they look like them. Sorry.) It was hot and humid but these two are really cute and hilarious!!
SIDENOTE: If I can get my brother to enjoy a shoot and look good, I can make anyone do the same, because he just wanted to skip stones and throw sticks into the water the entire time. LOL.
Anyway, enjoy these photos!! If you want to have your own couples session, reach out! I would love to do one with you and your significant other!
